As we approach the end of another fantastic year, we’re reflecting on all the wonderful moments we’ve shared across our six St. George’s Nursery locations. From welcoming new families and teammates to celebrating milestones and giving back to our community, 2024 has truly been a year to remember.

Welcoming New Families and Team Members
This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming many new families to St. George’s Nursery. We hope you’re enjoying your time with us and experiencing the warm, nurturing environment we strive to provide.
We also welcomed new teammates to the St. George’s family. Their enthusiasm and dedication have enriched our nurseries, and we’re so grateful to have them on board.
Fundraising
Community spirit is at the heart of St. George’s Nursery, and in 2024, we raised nearly £4,000 for incredible causes, including Rainbows, Comic Relief, PANDAS, Pasic, and Children in Need.
We also organised numerous charity collections for food, clothes, and other essentials, helping those in need within our local community. Thank you to all the families and staff who contributed—you’ve made a real difference!
Celebrating 30 Years of St. George’s Nursery
This year marked a significant milestone for us—our 30th anniversary! Established in 1994 in the heart of Leicester, our journey has been one of growth, innovation, and unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds while remaining family-run.
As part of our 30th-anniversary celebrations, each of our nurseries hosted unique and engaging events. From creative arts and outdoor games to food stalls and sensory activities, our nurseries buzzed with joy and excitement. These celebrations highlighted the nurturing environment that has made St. George’s Nursery a trusted name in the East Midlands. A huge thank you to our incredible teams for organising these fantastic events!
Award Recognition
We were thrilled to be nominated for two National NMT Nursery Awards this year, and we’re proud to be recognised as a top 10 nursery group on daynurseries.co.uk. These accolades are a testament to the hard work and passion of our staff.
New Baby Groups
This year, we launched free weekly baby groups, offering new parents and their little ones a chance to connect, play, and learn together. These sessions included sensory play, tummy time, music and movement, crafts, and more. We’ve loved seeing so many families join us for these special moments.
Trips and Events
From exploring local parks, theatres, and farms to visiting care homes for intergenerational activities, our children have enjoyed many exciting trips this year. These outings provide enriching experiences that support learning and development.
We also had the joy of hosting stay-and-play sessions, where parents, grandparents, and other family members joined us for fun-filled activities. These moments strengthened the bond between home and nursery life.
Celebrating Our Amazing Team
At St. George’s Nursery, we know our success is built on the dedication and passion of our incredible team. This year, we celebrated many of our staff members for their outstanding contributions. A huge congratulations to Zahira, Shanti, Keeley, Sam, Kayla, Rachel, Bethany, Skyla, Luise, and Libby, who each won a St. George’s Nursery Award for exemplifying our core values of Teamwork, Inspire & Nurture, Ownership, and Growth. Your hard work and commitment to our children, families, and colleagues inspire us every day!
We also want to give special recognition to two incredible milestones: Lisa H from Enderby, who celebrated an amazing 15 years with us, and Libby from Aylestone, who marked 10 years. Your dedication and loyalty are truly appreciated, and we’re so lucky to have you as part of the St. George’s family. Thank you for everything you do!
