Nursery update – Covid-19

Corona Virus update for our sites
This page will be regularly updated with information on our sites closures.

Dear Parent/ Carer

The government has announced the ‘partial closure’ of childcare providers (including childminders) and schools with care still being provided for key workers and vulnerable children.

As it stands, we are keeping the following sites open for key workers children.
– Oadby
– Aylestone
– Narborough

As nurseries we continue to sanitise and deep clean all areas on a daily basis and are using excellent hygiene practices with the children. We request that as parents you continue to follow the same practices on arrival to nursery and of leaving.

Key workers and vulnerable children
‘Vulnerable children’ includes children who are supported by social care, those with safeguarding and welfare needs, including child in need plans, on child protection plans, ‘looked after’ children, young carers, disabled children and those with education, health and care (EHC) plans.

Only one parent is required to be a key worker to be able to access childcare. This includes those working in:

– Health and social care
– Education and childcare (including nursery staff and childminders)
– Key public services
– Local and national government
– Food and other necessary goods
– Public safety and national security
– Transport
– Utilities, communication and financial services

We thank you all for your continued support in these worrying times and continue to put the safeguarding and welfare of all our children, staff and parents at the forefront.

If you have any further information, please contact our sites.

Thank you
